Caregiver / Companion: Nonmedical Home Support
Good days at home start with someone who shows up with patience, a steady hand with the housework and real interest in the person they are with. RealChoice Care is hiring full-time and part-time caregivers for nonmedical companionship and homemaking assignments in Cheshire, Connecticut. Individual schedules and assignments are discussed during recruitment.

- Medication reminders at the times on the service plan, for medications the client takes themselves (no handling or administration)
- Encouragement with daily routines, hobbies and staying in touch with family and friends
- Following each client's written service plan and the documented handover when another caregiver takes over
- Recording each visit accurately and telling your supervisor or our Registered Nurse promptly about concerns or changes in the client's needs
- Giving family caregivers planned time to rest (respite visits)
- Not included: Hands-on personal care, lifting, transfers, physical walking support, eating or swallowing assistance, medication administration, nursing or medical tasks, or driving clients.
